Series on sale & hello Vamp. Diaries!

Guys! I wrote a list of books/shows I recommend for binging on Labor Day weekend (and throughout September), and the Vampire Diaries website picked it up! My inner fan-girl is curled up in fetal position right now, rocking back and forth and muttering about the narrowing degrees of separation between my desk and the Salvatore brothers! ;)

On the flip side, it's that time again! Hurricanes blasting past us left and right. We've got one swooping pretty close again, this Hurricane Lester fellow, but I'm all set. Got my bug-out bags and emergency evac plan all set. We've had so many of these scares the past few years, its easy to get used to them, but I always err on the side of preparedness. Gotta respect the power of nature. Plus, who hasn't learned a-million-and-one-things about survival from zombie-apocalypse books/movies/shows?
